Ten Companies Involved in PCF Pilot Project Germany
Under the project leadership of the WWF, Öko-Institut – Institute for Applied Ecology, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and THEMA1, ten companies – BASF, dm-drogerie markt, DSM, FRoSTA, Henkel, REWE Group, Tchibo, Tengelmann Corporate Group, T-Home and Tetra Pak – have come together to conduct a joint pilot project for assessing greenhouse gas and CO2 emissions, or so-called Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), of selected products. These companies are working towards an international standard methodology for PCF assessment. the Project will explore the possibility of communicating PCF of goods and services to customers and consumers, taking into account recent developments in other markets.
